I just picked up a Rondo fretless bass that I can't seem to put down for very long. The tone is sweet and it plays like buttah! It came with light gauge flatwounds on it. For $211 shipped with a case, it's a steal. :D
Just passing the info along in case anyone is in the market for one.
I have a Xaviere XV-650 and I want to upgrade the tuners but I'm not sure what I can buy to make it an easy swap. I don't want to have to start filling and drilling holes if I don't have to. Anyone have any suggestions?
These are the tuners that the guitar came with...
FWIW, there's a pretty cool looking case for sale as today's Stupid Deal of the Day. I don't know how good the price is at $50, but the flag motif is sharp.

I just did an inventory of the gear I currently have on hand, including instruments, to make sure I have adequate insurance coverage. I only have a little project studio but I came up with a total of $40,490. Yikes!
Of the following UAD plug-ins, I'd be interested in hearing opinions from those of you that are familiar with them as to their usefulness to tracking folk/singer-songwriter recordings:
Fairchild 670
LA-2A
LA-3A
Neve 33609
I've only worked with the LA-2A plug so I'd be curious as to how this...
I'm using a Neutrik patchbay to run mics into preamps/preamps into compressors/compressors into 003, etc.
Which configuration should I be using if I want to be able to send a signal into one unit and out to a different unit?
All of these units are in very good condition. I'm the original owner of all of them and they've only been used in my smoke-free home project studio.

If you're wondering what that rack is, it's two racks that I joined together. I had a 12/8 Raxxess with a slant top on casters. I ordered a 20 space Raxxess box and bolted a piece of 3/4 plywood on the...
Is there a good online source for inexpensive, yet effective, bass traps (in the U.S.)? Or perhaps some kind of portable wrap around panels to kill some of the room noise? I don't have the time to make anything.
Thanks.
No matter what sound I try to access on my Motif through Protools LE, the sound is combined with a piano sound. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it? I'm pulling my hair out.

This two-channel strip is very clean and only slightly used. It probably doesn't have more than 50 hours on it. I'm the original owner. It sells everywhere for about $599 new. I'll part with it for $450 shipped and I'll eat the paypal fees. My ebay id is jtc_111 and I have a 100% feedback...
Are there any construction details (or anything else) I should be looking for if I want to buy a bass that can gave a lot of sustain? I've never owned a bass and I know jacksh*t about how construction affects their sound.
