I was just wondering how others deal with the sound degradation when in performance mode vs. patch mode when recording using sound modules, (Roland JV1010). I record the patch in audio instead of midi to get around it, but it is anoying. Just wondering what everyone else does. Thanks

I just got a new Dell 866mhz computer. When I installed the Aardvark Direct Pro card and started the computer, 1/4 of the card and pci slot burned!! It was smoking! I have installed many cards before and nothing like this ever happened. The guitar center is calling Dell and Aardvark to find out...

Can you connect powered speakers to a consumer receiver? The reason I ask is because, I am looking for a smaller speaker that I can connect to a digital consumer receiver. I can't seem to find good speakers that are small, but the powered speakers are the right size and the quality is there...

There are some computer, (consumer) soundcards now that support surround sound, or 3d audio. Well they have three speakers and a subwoofer. What about pro souncards? How would one get surround sound?

Are you able to take two outs from a quality audio interface like Ardvark Direct Pro,or layla, and go right to the monitors or do you have to go to the amp first? Would like to thank all, the creators of this site and the helpful feedback from everyone.
