Hello all,

Yesterday I was cutting out some unneeded lyrics on a track.. I was able to cut out the part I wanted but there was still a wee bit that I still needed to 'cut'.. I remember somehow being able to "BLOW UP" the track (err or expand??) in which I could really visually see the wavelengths. I'm not talking about making the track 'taller' in the track area..... I thought I could double-click the track and enlarge it to the point where I could make minute changes as need be. Am I making any sense here?? lol...

Thanks guys,

Volrath

click in the window where the tracks are and use your scroll wheel to zoom in or out

I understand how to do that.. how can I explain this.......... I thought I could double-click a track and it would open up in a new window. And, the track would look huge... does that make better sense? Apologies if not...

Hmm... I don't think double-clicking would ever open the wav in a new window (unless you maybe had an external editor set?)

There are a few things you could try, though.

* Double-clicking the scrollbars for different zoom sizes
* Mousewheel
* ~ (shift + `)
* clicking and dragging the bottom of a track to resize it

I hope that helps at least a little!

what d.bop says ^^^

If you are in, say, Logic, double clicking on a recorded WAV will open it in an editing window.

Double clicking in Reaper will cause the WAV to try and open in an external editor (e.g. Wavelab or Soundforge), if you have that set in the options.

However, you don't need to double click anything in Reaper . . . just keep zooming in to the level of magnification you want within the main window.

You're getting REAPER mixed up with that pirated copy of ACID that you used to have. :D
