Maam,
I have heard better sounds come shooting out of a gorillas ass!
my advise would be to abandon any whim you may have of pursuing a career in the music buisness.it is not for you.
sometimes the truth hurts, get over it!
Here at Mystery Records we take great care in presenting artists with true talent, not some hack with a porta-studio making up hot garbage in his mothers basement.

Hey, Ted Phillips finally figured out his posts weren't showing up and made a new user name! :D "mamm?" I like how you just joined but are like instantly in red rep points :p

Anyway,
ido your stuff always brings me back to my days traveling around the desert listening to clapton and CCR... kinda like CCR with clapton singing if you ask me. Very enjoyable :)
About the mix... bass sounds just right on my system. Maybe a little more guitar and/or less vocals. Guitar sounds a little back to me in the mix. Nice rhythm and tune, enjoyed it much ;)

Oh yeah, and I could hear some harmonica coming into this! just an idea...

One word comes to mind: sweetness!

Like the tune very much. Like the little upbeat chords in there. I guess that's the key changing.

I like the bass, very nicely done. The gits sound really good. I like the vox just the way. The drums could use a touch louder snare. I don't hear the snare enough. They're good just like this also. But I feel a touch snare will sound cool.

Enjoyable listen. Something I would definitley like to listen to again. :)

Great lyrics, man!

Did I mention, A+ vox?

Ido....I am having some listens. I agree with Nak, Paul Simon sound with a twist of country.

I really dig your vocals!!

Lively, upbeat lovesong!!! It brings to mind, thoughts of a night out with great music to dance to, good food, beer and good friends to share it with!!!

TRUE :)

Ido...your songs and recordings have come such a long way since the first one I heard that Llarion mixed. I have to disagree with almost everyone (Yikes!) about the vocals being too loud (unless I'm hearing a re-mix). I think this has a kind of 60's-early 70's feel to it. The vocals were very up frint in alot of those recordings. In my opinion, if you brought the drums up, the vocals wouldn't seem to stand out as much. Besides that, great vocals, harmonies, production and sound.

teddyboy - thanks for the encouragement, and the PM with the following message. I'll be sure to keep my eyes and ears open for Christian's work - sounds like something really special. Thanks for the advice, that's why I enjoy this forum so much :D

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.....

SnakeDog - oh fellow stratmeister, thanks for the listen and kind words and suggestions which I will look into. That harmonica idea sounds cool now that you mention it..... :D

bigbubba - thanks for listening.....Glad the bass sounds ok because I'm just getting used to mixing and the bass has been a challenge. That's a Rickenbacher through a Fender 400 (using a pick) lined direct to the board.
And thanks for the A+ on the vocals :D I think a bit more snare is spot on....

true - you're right, this is a love song disguised as a dance tune :D . Your scenario of the night out with friends is cool and along the lines of what I was trying for here - thanks! :D

RAMI - No remix yet. (I am slacking off on my chores listening to some great tunes by everyone on the board :D). I'll bring up the drums and see how that works with the vocals... Thanks very much for the compliments on the rest of it!

:D :D :D :D

Well I'm just tellin' the truth. This sounds like a great movie soundtrack song. Sounds quality production. I personally only want to hear a touch more snare. But overall, I wanted to stress that instrument mixing is great. I like it and I don't think you should break it. :)

Oh and since you make it downloadable, I'm guessing you don't mind people downloading the complete song?? :)

leave behind these workin' man blues
....
disconnect the phone...

Man, you should put the lyrics on there so I'm not guessing. For the most part, I can make it out but just in case, I'm singing something wrong. :) I wouldn't want to sound like an idiot!

Oh, nice ending!

Lyrics for this now posted on Soundclick... :D

To my amusement  I see ol` Ted is back.

This guy must be utterly mad, lurking around for months at the time, with nothing better to do. :D

You mean "nothing better to do" than produce and engineer jams that
would give your grandmother the funky face?
that is precisely what I have been doing.how about yourself?
any earth-shattering records come flying out of your mom's basement lately?
I was talking to Ted Templeman the other day,we were mocking people exactly like you,Nakatira.people who have produced NOTHING of substance yet take jabs at people with more talent in their stink-star than you will ever have.
here at Mystery Records we will wipe the floor with hacks and fakers.
Nakatira is a faker.

Hi lil teddy....good to see you again. You give hope to all people with an IQ less than 20.

Buh Bye.....

Nice man, voice is great like everything else i've heard by you. Songs structured real well. Love the back ups for the chorus, real smooth. I was looking for something to nitpick at and the only thing that stuck out at me was maybe the guitar solo could come up a tad .. I never get that right so take that comment for what its wroth. Loved it man found it real uplifting and relaxing.

Take care

Hey gary, thanks for taking the time to listen, I'm glad you liked it! :) :)

I love the Buddy Holly hiccough in "...do OK"
I also love the clean guitar sound.
That's a real country pickin' solo Ido - it needs some vol though & it just fades at the end.
IT's XTRA GUD As Per Usual.

Hey rayc - thanks for listening - Mr. Revolution Blues Man...

I like your reference to the Buddy Holly thing - I can really hear it now that you mention it :D...

Glad you like the "country" flavor on this... :D

XTRA Gud is a big plus in my book - Thanks!

Oh yes - wanted to mention your signature verse is really cool.....

:) :D   :D :D

I'm listening to this on Boston Acoustic bookshelf speakers (currently away from my monitors) and it translates really well. Good tune. Nice solo.
