Hi guys,

Just want to hear your opinions on the hybrid recording interface Yamaha MW12c or even better yet, your experience with em.

I have the little brother the MW10 and so far it's a great. Of sourse you're going to run into issues of inputs/outputs but another sub compact board can easily suffice. I do like the all in one concept as this does save money and space that can be used for other items. Like a PCI slot, Rack space or desk space.

Although my Cubase LE software Licence expired, I've found it very useful for Kristal and Audacity.

The boards are clear, and even if you use them live they remain clear. The MW12C has the built in compressors which from the reviews are pretty useful. I don't have them so I can't comment on them.

For the most part, I've found the MW is great and one thing (IMO) the lack of EFX on mine was an added bonus as those aren't useful at all. I'd rather use plug-ins or outboard gear if needed.

Thanks mate. Good to hear that its working great for you.
Yeah i've got a Yamaha MG10. i can use that if i need more inputs right?
I think the MW12c comes with built-in preamps which is perfect coz i'd like to record drums.

Yes you can run a stereo out from the MG10 into the MW12. Both the MW10 and MW12 have built in pre's and they're pretty useful not the best out there but will do the job.
