I did a search and found very little info.

Currently i have an echo indigo, dmp3 and a dod r825 compressor (shameless dbx163 copy i hear). Would the apogee best the current setup?
Also, do de-esser plugins perform as well as an external?

Have a nice evening.

i dont have the answer but if i'm correct the DOD compressor is a rip off of the 160 ! not the 163,
to me the de-esser sounds like a high-cut-filter, yeah, it works but you loose so much high end, so i record without it, and then afterwards i'll try a plugin,
i've never been satisfied with any plugin,
and the only hardware de essers i used were supersimple, cheap and not so great

so i'm not into de essing...i keep my fingers crossed when a singer comes over hoping he doesn't speak like a snake :o

The Apogee MiniMe is one of the best "bang-for-the-buck" pices of gear available. Great sounding (if not a bit "plain") preamps, excellent conversion, even the clock is a step up from most lesser units.

What are you trying to find out that isn't available online somewhere?

I dont like Apogee personally.

Loose low end, and lacks detail in the mids and highs.

grace v3 is much better sounding for about the same price.
