I like the recording of the instruments a lot. Very good caribbean feel to it, nicely played and recorded. On the other hand, IMO the vocals really fall flat on this song. They sound kind of dull and robotic, for lack of a better word. They're also not loud enough for the song. They sit way back behind the instruments, which shouldn't be the case, unless you really wanted them that way.

Hey man I like the song. It does sound a little dry and needs some high end to it. In parts I hear just a touch of David Jones from The Monkees.

I thought this was really interesting. Way different from much of anything else I listen to, but I think I really like it :). Not sure if it was because I read it first, but I totally hear the Davey Jones thing...which is ok by me, but may not be for you .

Some friends of mine in college got high with him once about 15 yrs. ago and said he was actually pretty cool btw...:D

Speaking as a robotic singer, I heard quite a bit of emotive content as the song went on, but I'd like to hear the vocals more up front in some way.

Thank you a bunch for good comments. I will do my best on the singing part and get some high end maybe through a case guitar or something. Thanks again. :)

Btw: David Jones? Wow.. :D hehe, I bet he could go much higher then me, but thanks.
