....and yes I did a search,but for some reason I can't find that particular thread.
The question; I want to rack-mount the RNC with one of those
19"rack-faces,could you tell me where I can get 1 of those
thing-a-ma-gings again?

how many RNC's do you have Q? I to am looking at getting one. Is it stereo? Or If you have 2 usints can you link that?

The RNC is dual-channel, but with channels permanently linked. So one unit will handle either 1 single channel, or a stereo signal...

The faceplate mounts 2 of the units in 1-rack space....

Two questions (now that everyone here has their answers... :D (that was dumb))

1) Wonder why the two channels ended up being permanently linked... 20c more and you've got an option...

2) How does the RNC differ from the BlueMax thing I keep seeing at the cash register? I know they may be different breeds (shit, different animals), but they seem to have the same approach to fixing vocals...

I have the answer to question 1:
The RNCs signal path is analog, but the control path is digital, ie, they have a tiny wee little computer that controls the amplification of the signal. That part is probably more expensive than the analog paths. Also, you'd have to have double sets of knobs, which would also make it bigger. So a mono-RNC would not be much cheaper than a stereo RNC, but a dual-mono RNC would be significantly more expensive than a stereo RNC...

RNC-trivia:
My favourite store here in Stockholm thought "The pro's will of course still buy compressors that cost $1000 more to get status, but we can sell some of these to homerecorders". The first one to buy one was producing genious Mikael B Tretow (of Abba fame). 80% of the RNC's they sell are to pro's...

It's on my shopping list. :)
