Anyone have experience with these? I've played around on pianos before but never seriously, and never owned one. For the holiday season my work (CompUSA) is selling three models: PSR160, PSR260, PSR280. They run $70, $100, and $150 at cost. I figure I should pick one up for the studio cause I never know when I could use it, and it'd be fun to play around with and learn yet another instrument. Should I go for it?

I went to the Yamaha site, they had them all listed, the 160 only has 49 keys, the other two have 61, and you can record on the 280, they didn`t have prices listed, so not sure about that. Tim2

yahmaha psr 270

I love mine. I am not a keyboard player either, but I am finding many uses for the psr 270 (about 200 $). Great drum sounds, some great panel voices, great for learning keyboard. I'm recording with it too (424 MKII). keyboard has stereo speakers within, so I can watch TV and pretend I'm writing the soundtracks, usually to the Jerry Springer show. Ragtime piano for the fight scenes, and violins for Jerry's final comments. kidding, but not about the keyboard. Love it.
