now now zallen you don't know any alternatives to roxio? being a big ukelele center employee? You could maybe try samplitude, saw studio, cd architect, and there are plenty of others. Roxio is for children. Even on the cheap end you could at least use nero. It even supports multiple burners. But of course you only use it to burn reference copies, correct? You don't use it for data backup do you? can you say exabyte? please say it isn't so zallen. Since you are an expert on the mastering process you should know that your ME sequences your cd. ever hear of sonic solutions? thought so. do you have any glass masters? You do use your ME for your final conversion don't you? you know, your 1/2" reel. what tape forumlation do you use? what calibration tones do you put on your reel or even DAT? how many nWb/m? is that your standard or elevated level? or is it nWb/m-DIN? which one is the eurpean operating level? what's the name of your ME? there are really only a handful of really good ones.
yeah you are right about the purdue thing i confused you with jfreeman, but it doesn't really matter since it is really easy to confuse you with jfreeman and boray as you are all equally idiotic. Now you should realize the mac hardware is about two years behind pc hardware and the only reason we still use it is because digidesign has got us by the balls and people for some reason think protools is the shiznit. You recently bought protools right? what hardware are you using? are you using OSX? I guess I don't know shit about computers since I used to program:
10 for x=1 to 1000
20 ?"zallen knows shit"
30 next x
(well it is BASIC so I know i am dating myself)
and have about four or five around my studio that I hand built. I have a dual 1.0 gig mac and a dual xeon machine that I use for tracking. Of course that is only when my stupid clients don't wanto use my 24 track 2". All are equipped with scsci 0+1 Raid arrays for redundant backup. Plus I use data DAT backup, exabyte and removable drives. I have a smaller p3 machine I use for controlling my analog mixer's automation and somtimes for midi control. If you used computers in such a context you'd realize the superior speed of a properly configured pc. What temp does your cpu reach under full load? your hard drives? You really should know how hot your hard drives get. Are your racks lined with cooling fans? How hot does your studio get? how hot does you machine room get?
now if you actually ever used a schoeps, dp or b & k small diaphragm you'd realize the error of your ways. Ever use an earthworks small diaphgragm? I forgot you can't buy those at guitar center so you are unfamiliar with them.
ok so you know about mogami cabling which I'm sure you have compared to canare, belden etc. Now when you soldered your cables what did your properly soldered joint look like? how did you acheive this? how did you clean your soldering iron?
I'd take my cheap ass ns10's over your hr824's any day. but then again I'm not a genelec fan.
