Yamaha GM32/14FX "Aux" routing anomaly

I use the four group sends as inputs to my PC interface. No problems there.
However, when using any Aux send and returns (to outboard Effects unit, like Reverb)
I found that the effect is audible on the Studio monitors (via Stereo out from the desk), BUT, no effect is routed to any of the group outs; only the original signal present on any channel. Yes, for recording all channels are routed to the group outs....
Very frustrating when getting the right sound (effect), but after mixdown there's no effect!
Is there a simple way of tweaking the circuit of the board to allow the Aux to be present on the group outs?

Looking forward to your opinions.

You'd need to route the effects to input channels instead of the effects return and send those inputs to whichever groups you want to associate them.
