Yamaha AW 1600...help

My band and I went in on a Yamaha AW 1600, and we are stumped. Anyone out there know the machine? Any pointers? It has great XF, but we can't seem to do the same thing twice. Having trouble with basic recording.

I have a question too:
Yamaha AW-1600 and I´m recording drums. Tracks 9-16 are pairs. I can record each of those separately and pan, use eq and effects. BUT is it true that level of channel 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-16 are behind one level? I cant set a different level for 9 and 10? Not 16 tracks then but I say 12

They're stereo tracks... one slider...

Learn to bounce groups of tracks to stereo if you need more tracks.

Yes, sorry. Thx now I don´t waste more time for searchin solution... I know bouncing. Used only four tracks for recording drums, mäybe don´t need bouncing...
