The ADAT XT-20 I recently bought is doing something weird. I plugged it in when I first got it and to test it I played a tape that I had previously recorded on another machine. All seemed fine, but the other day I went to record with it and track #1 records nothing but a clickity clackity sound that seems to
match the rate of the milliseconds counter display. Like maybe channel one
is not grounded properly or something.
1) Has anyone ever heard of such a problem before?
2) Is it fixable?
3) Would a recording head alignment problem do this?
4) Is there some sort of clock/ sympte setting that perhaps I am
missing that puts noise/ sync code onto channel one?
Thanks, Darin.
