Not playing on this one, just engineering. My friend's jazz arrangement for "Angels We Have Heard on High."

Pretty much live with a couple of punches. My first real attempt at live session recording with isolation. Headphones, drums in one room, guitar amp in another room, everyone playing at once, etc.

Very nice my friend. This guy is a serious piano player, that's for sure. You got a great sound.

Ahhhh yeah.Very nice piece. It has a real Vince Guiraldi feel to it.I just bought 5 new Christmas CD's to add to my ever growing collection.Been listening to Christmas Music all week.

It's almost that time of year!

Nice job on the recording and your freinds group played it well.

Hmm, maybe Nowhere's having a burp right now, because I couldn't get any of the song links to work. I also got hit with a barrage of pop-up ads, which I've never experienced on nowhereradio before.

Bad juju, baby,
(I'll try again later)

Chris

NWR worked fine for me.

Nice recording, Chuck. Pianoman's got good chops. I thought your studio was in an attic. How'd you get all the different rooms to isolate everyone? (And how'd you get a piano up there?)

I thought the drums might be a little too forward in the mix, but that's a matter of taste I guess. All in all, good work my friend.

I really like the piano man. it sounds really "vif". And like dachay2tnr said. The drums are a bit too.

Christmas Jazz? It's too early for Christmas. I'll listen in another month and 5 days.

Is your first name Ebeneezer?

Wow!What can I say other than that's really good!

It's not to early for Christmas, bring it on!

wow~i listened to your Jazz Improv earlier this afternoon, and wanted to drop you a note someewhere that it is awsome, and here is my chance :)

Yeah, the drums are a bit too loud on this one, but, hey, it's X'mas, it should be crowded and busy!!

If I had to make a suggestion, I would say give the drums a little more variation in dynamic and playing(fills). This is really cool!

Pop ups? Let me know if this happens again, our ad provider has explicit instructions NEVER to serve pop ups.

nice performing...

was I hearing noise reduction on the intro piano?
drums maybe a smidgen too loud.

ok...I'm in the mood now...!! how many days left?

wow.....what a great sound...this is your freinds arrangement?...great job.
man this as good as any thing on any x-mas c.d.'s in my house.
piano....nice...really nice.and this does totally get me in the mood for christmas.....man this will be my first with a baby ....im guessing this will be favorite x-mas so far!!!!!

nice job all the way around

I love jazz, and this is good. Very nice playing for sure......the drums are too loud and I'd like just a smidgeon of presence on the piano please.....hmmmmm guitar,........didn't even know that was there; it could use a little more guitar in the mix also.....this is all nitpicking, of course, what's really important is the playing and it's very good, thanks for sharing.

Okay, worked fine this time. I dunno what that was with the pop-ups - never happened before.

Anyway, I don't have much to add to what's been said already. I'd also like to hear a little more prescence (& volume) on the piano and a little less drums, both for balance of sound and also just because the drumming is less interesting in terms of musicianship than everything else that's happening.

But nice job all around.

Chris

Chuck, very nice sound, well mixed too. I expect jazz drums to be a bit more "in yer face" so no problem for me. I didn't even notice to be honest.

Nice warm sound all around, great playing too. Spatial engineering work has been well thought out.

Well done:D

that was great..

I agree the drums might be a hair loud, and the guitar is almost unnoticeable.. great playing..

a good listen.. (unlike the Christmas music I'm working on)

This just in.....

Just played this song for my wife and she dug it,any possibility that you could squeeze out about ten or twelve more Christmas songs by December?
My ten year old Elvis Christmas cassette tape is getting worn a bit thin and I could use a fresh injection of music for the holidays!;)

BTW,I love the number your Pats pulled on the Bears!:D
