wtf is wrong with my wah pedal

I've got a Morley Power Wah that wont turn on.
I've only had since '09, so I doubt that it's lived it's life and died a natural death.
I've tried 5 different 9 volt batteries. 2 of which were definitely brand new, and three that worked fine in my other pedals.
I plugged a cable into the input jack and output jack, pressed the button, no light every time.

If it is switched, do you hear/feel the switch cycling when you stomp it?

A lot of times the felt or other actuation spacer under the pedal compresses to the point it won't push the switch down far enough to cycle. I'm guessing here. I don't have that wah, but all the wahs I have had eventually get to that point sooner or later.

Maybe one of the power leads has come off of the battery connector? Those 9 volt battery connectors suck! Does the pedal have a power adapter option?
 
Do you have a volt/ohm meter? Having one and learning to use it is a musicians friend.

Nope. I don't even hear the guitar bypassing it. If it's anywhere in the chain it just doesn't even pass anything through. Which is strange I've never had that happen with other pedals with low batteries.

Hmm, maybe.
It does have a power adapter option. All I've got is a Ibanez power adapter. I would ask whether or not a wrong power adapter could mess up a pedal... but mines already messed up :eek:

I do not :(
I don't even have a proper SPL meter yet :p im still using a smart phone app.
 
Aren't all the Morley wahs optical, meaning, you may have to replace the bulb for it to work.
