If you're still planning to send the masters off to a mastering facility?

I was thinking about getting the Finalizer 96K or the Drawmer Masterflow to basically improve the overall mixes... But will it be an overflow to have so many processed copies of the same mix?

Should I just invest in some nice compressors/gates/limiters to be inserted in the recording chain, pump out a good mix, and let the mastering engineer take it from there?

Any suggestions are welcomed,

Thanks

If you ARE sending your mixes to a mastering house, DON'T fuck with them!!!! A mastering engineer will be able to a lot more than a Finalizer ever could.

Yeah Bruce,

That's what my conscience is telling me... I guess those Finalizer units could never replace those stand alone EQs, compressors, & limiters that are housed in those mastering facilities...

That, and the ears of an experienced mastering engineer!
