You can never go back! Just you wait....Jagular said:I can see that I may consider getting rid of the console view once I get used to the new track view. Looks pretty sweet.![]()
Bill, I don't quite understand your comment. You do know you can view the Main meter(s) while in Track View, right?wfaraoni said:What is nice is that the console view is available anytime using the view- console tab. I do find it helpful when mixing because individual tracks have an additive effect and can peak in the overall mix, as seen on the output meter. In Console view it is real easy to go back and adjust levels and monitor at the same time. Its easier than the track views method of having to open each track up for volume , pan and trim controls.
Your gonna love Sonar 2
Peace

But vertical meters are so much cooler than horizontal meters...dachay2tnr said:You don't need to go to Console View.
Of couse. What was I thinking??moskus said:But vertical meters are so much cooler than horizontal meters...![]()
dachay2tnr said:And if you have dual monitor setup, you can have horizontal meters on left and verticle meters on right.![]()

Yes, but I find it convenient and it also has a slider to adjust the level, which you dont have in track view, as far as I know. Also many times most tracks are minimized in track view if you've got a bunch of tracks. That means you have to open them up to view several at once and sometimes you run out of room to view the open tracks in track view. Either way is ok , but somehow console view seems convenient and conventional to me.dachay2tnr said:Bill, I don't quite understand your comment. At the bottom of the track view screen (where the 4 tabs are) you will see a little square icon with an up arrow in it. Click the up arrow and you get the Mains View, which gives you your output meters. You don't need to go to Console View.
I'm tired of preaching. But FYI there is a slider for the VMain in Track View, just like there is in Console View.wfaraoni said:Yes, but I find it convenient and it also has a slider to adjust the level, which you dont have in track view, as far as I know.

But you know, some of these crazy people wants to remove the Console View alltogether... Now, that's insane!wfaraoni said:It IS nice that Cakewalk gave us 2 options isn't it.
Hehe... we're not talking about that slider, but this one...guitar ed said:Your 'slider' in the track view is the same as it is in all your tracks. Just look for the 'volume' box, grab it and slide away!
That's the slider at the bottom of the Track View, you see...Originally posted by ALLMIGHTY DACHAY!
