Wondering about Orange County Drums...

Our church is replacing our electric drums and we stumbled upon this orange county drum kit. I know nothing about them so I was wondering what you guys think about them?

Here is a craigslist add that we found and were considering buying them from this person.

Nice drums no doubt, like the ad says these are the american made kind, hence the price. Are they worth it? I wouldnt, pay that, why? Because if I were to pay that much they would be new drums.

Im pretty sure if god was a drummer he wouldnt play OCPD....maybe ludwig, or gretsch.

Orange county makes high quality drums and would no doubt sound great in a church setting. The rack, DW hardware and A custom cymbals are also high quality but that price still seems a bit steep to me. The seller is telling the truth about the handmade part. Until a few years ago they hand made each drum individually and each had to be ordered seperately to build a kit. Now they are selling complete kits at set prices so they more than likely did pay a higher premium than one would pay for a "kit" from them now.

Are they worth that much? Perhaps, but you should be able to find something more than adequate for your church for less than this.
