This should help you get it working again. Sorry, but I can't send pics via PMs.

Thanks so much Harvey.

You definitely da man.

In case anybody ever needs to take the RE20 apart........be careful not to pull the wires completely off from the body........not that I would know anything about doing something so dumb.:o

solid copper wire vs. multi-strand wire??

Will it matter if I replace the multi strand wires that connect the XLR plug to the microphone with thin-guaged solid copper wire??

The wires that are on there now (the ones I need to reconnect) are kind of ratty on the ends and I need to shorten them up even more to clean up the ends.
There is very little excess wire as it is.

I figures it might just be easier to replace them.
I have a bunch of thin (telephone) guage solid copper wire.
I rigged up my guitar with it and it works fine but didn't know if there are any issues with a mic and the kind/guage of internal wiring.

(ps I know I e-mailed you, Harvey. I am not trying to be a pain but figured it may or may not be good general knowledge to put up on the board here.)

I realise this is digging up a very old thread. But I DID pull the wires off of the XLR connector when it came out. I was wondering which goes where. I have the wiring diagram that was attached, but I didn't want to solder the wires back onto the XLR male connector reversed.

Any ideas?
