Have worked two days on this OS and happy to say that I have experienced nothing other than a few learning curves.
This OS is robust, easy to manage, and provides a level of control over all things that has not been seen in other Windows OS's.
The only little drawback is that it is a memory hog compared to NT 4. Uses about 20 more MB of RAM. But the stability of it is astounding so far. No clitch's at all. The built in drivers are excellent. Have found my printer, modem, monitor, video card drivers native to the OS. Haven't looked for my scanners driver yet, but will probably find it too...
The new "look" of 2000, meaning the icons, and Explorer are really neat. Also, movements on it are more fluid. Things don't just pop up, they sort of morph.
I have noticed increased internet performance with the integrated IE5 and Outlook Express 5. Dial Up Connection was a snap to configure.
I am looking forward to more hardware and software that is able to run on this excellent OS. I think 2000 proves that Microsoft will still be a player in game no matter what happens with their current legal troubles.
I wholly recommend using this OS if you are able!!!
