Will this hook-up work?

I have enclosed a small JPG (55K) of a possible
stereo/soundcard/soundcard/cd player/cassette/pre-amp/mic hookup.

Note:
M-Audio = Audiophile 2496
Blaster = Audigy

What I would like to do is the following:

Record through the Audiophile to the hard drive

Listen to mp3's through the Audiophile

Listen to CD's through the Audigy

Listen to mp3's through the Audigy

Listen to the cassette through the audigy

Record to the cassette from the hard drive

Hard drive recordings would be cut to CD (a different deal)

Note:
There would be "Y" connections at the Audigy "Line-in" and the
Audigy "Line-Out.
There would also be a third "Y" connection at the Receiver
"Tape-in"

I am sure there are many ways to accomplish this. I was just
wondering if there is a "most" correct way.

Also, any suggestions on the best software to accomplish this?

If you open this image, prolonged viewing could drive you to drink.
I guess this could be good or bad depending on your nature.

Thanks

The way I understand it, you need an x/y switch for the dual inputs but I couldn't swear to it :)

Thanks for the reply.

I can switch the input at the receiver from tape/dat to CD ...
if that is what you are suggesting.

Put an x/y switch between the blaster's line out and the cd player's line out going into the receiver's tape in. Put an x/y switch between the receiver's tape out and the cassette's line out going into the blaster. How about getting yourself a mixer? I'd still feel better though if one of the engineers clocked in and gave an opinion here :)

Thanks for your help.

I think I'll just get a Terratec EWS88 MT/Shure SM57 and a
audio buddy/art tube pre-amp and route everything through
the Terratec.
