wierd noises while recording... (like eltronic noises..? lol)

I was recording yesterday, well setting up my 4 mics for drum set. And i was testing some stuff out, and everyonce and a while, usually after a big cymbal hit, and like a stop after that for example, i hear this wierd noise that sounds like an eletric something or other...now that i think about it again i whish i would have saved that so i could have posted it here.....

but it was somewhat like a bomb dropping then going back up and droping again - but never exploding...you know? lol. like it was just flying in the wind a bunch...

well anyway i got the 4 mics going into my mixer, then to the comp.

any ideas what that is?
 
Pure guesswork

A guess: Perhaps it's AM radio interference. Your description reminds me of the sound you get trying to tune in a weaker station. You might need better shielding on your cables, etc.

Sometimes I get radio interference from iffy jacks, but it usually sounds like talk radio rather than a pitch-bending sine wave. Like I said, I'm guessing. ;)
