Why does the RE320 sound strange even on an official video?

Hi, I was thinking of getting an EV Re320, but have a listen to these videos:

RE320 Specs and Uses - YouTube (switch to some 2:00 minutes into the video, later on the guy says the VO was recorded with the Re320)
Electro Voice RE320 Demo - YouTube (this one has unbalanced sound but that's not my point)

The mic which is supposed to be at least as good for vocals as the RE20 sounds somehow funny (bordering crappy).
It this the result of poor post processing, or does this mic just sound like this? Or is it just me and the voice in these videos sounds excellent?

The 320 is an exultant microphone.
It's probably user error then lets no forget the medium that you are listening to it with and lastly ............... it's on Utube! ;)

I'm listening with some decently transparent studio headphones and soundcard so I can hear quite well something is not right... but yeah, you are probably right. It has already gone through god knows how much signal processing (signal chain, converters, youtube...) so the sound is all over the place. But still.... you can make a youtube video audio sound good, can't you?

What's wrong with the sound, and more importantly, how does it compare to the other EV mics?
Seems like a pretty good comparison series.
