Singing is my passion and i am following the Michal Jackson's way of singing or dancing during singing. His songs are loved by million's peoples. That's way i am started singing, and i am enjoying this a lot.

Music is everything to me,though i'm a good guitar player i wouldn't be complete without singing, without being a true frontman.Playing and singing throws me into some deep relief, things that i dont get throughout the week.

I was inspired by a 11 yr old boy, who had the voice of an angel. When i looked at him for the first occasion he seemed familiar but wasn't sure! after watching him sing for around 2 mins 30 seconds i turned and seen the kids dad, and approached him through the crowd. I asked him do you know this kid he laughed at me and shook his head and said COME ON THATS JOSHUA! my son.. I was like your shitting me, after a discussion for a short while he told me anyone can be ANYONE they want to be just work hard and practice...

I never ever ever ever looked into singing until that day, and thought well if a 11yr old can sing maybe i can. so i took lessons of which lasted 3 months, the teacher could never answer the questions i had and decided to look online. Then came across singingsuccess by brett manning. Studied this for a short while and gave up after 5 yrs of singing. Its only now i return to it after a spurt of depression which took me down for around 2 yrs of sheer hell. Amazingly wrote my music through that and probably wrote some of the best music i will ever write! who knows

So here i am today, after the depression has gone and struggling but fighting to get back to how i used to be

No one else was going to do it, I dont know if I would call what I do singing anyway :D

someone pinched my butt and I kinda liked the sound that came out.......:p

No seriously, I don't even remember when I started singing. But I do remember when I was 6 something, my aunties used to stand me up on a chair with a toy guitar in my hand and sit in front of me and listen to me sing....they seemed to really enjoy it without laughing, so I guess it wasn't just for good comedy.....:D

As a means to an end. Gotta finish these songs I record somehow.

Ive sang since i was a kid, sang in talent contests, karaoke, anything..even ran a sushi bar where the waitresses sang karaoke inbetween serving...Id join in too..always thought i had a good voice

then home recording came into my life

i record instrumentals now

about 5 years ago some girl I liked told me I had a shit voice, so I set about proving her wrong.

About 6 years ago I had a sex change operation and then 5 years ago I told a dude he had a shit voice.

Failed with my passion of turning golf pro :( and to quote Mick *what can a poor boy do, Except to sing for a rock n roll band* ...................... or Ray Davies *Give me life on the road*.

hahahaha.

Damn It!!! why does that always happen to me. . . that was the original reason for me wanting to become a singer, but I enjoyed it so that is why I have done it for the last 4-1/2 years. weather I have got better or not I don't know. ya know what they say. . . . no matter what you do with a piece of shit, its always going to be a piece of shit. :)

Mainly I started singing in an attempt to be a more well-rounded musician...and also because I'm somewhat of a control freak. I enjoy singing on songs I've written on guitar, and played drums for, and so on...

During my first live performance with a band the singer suddenly anounced that I was going to sing a song. Was a surprise to me and everyone else. I'm not a great singer, but ever since then I love to do it...so I do.

When I was in preschool, I would hide under the tables and avoid all social contact. But when it came time to sing, I jumped out and sang louder than everyone else. I've never been good; in 5th grade (over 6 years ago) I tried out for my first band, and sang in front of the class. Both times got laughed at, made fun of, etc. never got in front of a crowd after that. But I like to duplicate songs I like, Drums, Guitar, and Vocals. Unfortunately I happen to be one of those people who are never satisfied...so I delete and re do everything.

I've never been too great of a singer, and while it kills me (all I do in my free time is do those one-man recording sessions) to know that, I know there's not much I can do to change that. My parents left me absolutely no musical gene or bone in my body, so I guess I can enjoy the fact that I'm decent on guitar and okay on drums (basic beats really).

So why did I start singing? because I've always enjoyed it. Since I was born I've loved music, and everything about it. Music has been my life, and passion, and that won't ever change.

same here. on both statements :p

my final eureka moment was when i heard lips from the band anvil: "if that guy can sing and sell dozens of records, the least i can do is sing for myself"

I had a "worse case scenario" break up with my ex wife....singing stopped me from losing my mind

I start singing when I was three; my brother taught my twin sister and I an old gospel song ( and it is stuck in my head to this day). LOL. Growing up, my sister, friend (girl we played or hung out with in the neighborhood) and I loved singing (I still do); friends, strangers, and family members gathered around just to hear us sing. I lost interest at the age of twenty(another story), but got back into it probably about five years ago and stuck to singing every since. Singing is my passion (calling) and hopefully someday it will be my professional. :-)

So true - singers are always in demand.
I can't remember when i wasn't singing. I can't imagine not singing.
