Why can I not pan things from left to right inside Logic 5.5???

have been a dedicated Logic user ever since 4.5 two and a half years ago. So I am not exactly new to Logic. but it never seases to amaze me how fickle it is. Sometimes I do an update or something and a major function just does not work or I need to click something burried somewhere under a mountain of menus to get it to work again.

Now I cannot pan mono signals from left to right.

I plug in my POD into Line In 3. Set the input in the Logic mixer to input 3, output to 1-2 (I am monitoring with headphones.) Then record the parts.
Then after they are all layed down I try to pan them around the stereo field, and nothing. They get quieter as I pan hard left or hard right, but they do not actually move right or left. It is like only a little voume reducer now instead of a pan control.

Anyone ever have this happen before?

I am using a Delta-66 OMNI Studio Audio System into a PC with Logic 5.5

What has gone wrong?

Im using 5.5 and dont or never have had that problem. Works fine for me. I cant even begin to tell you whats up with that.

Does delta 66 have a phone jack? How are you hooking up your headphones? If you're not using a mixer, and if it's like the 1010, you'd have to make or buy a connector that hooks up two mono 1/4" jacks to 1 stereo plug, and maybe something here is putting both channels to in to both channels out.

If you're bringing the two mono outs of the 66 to two separate mono channels on your mixer, you have to make sure to pan each mixer channel to it's respective side.

What about the delta mixer? The pan sliders at the bottom of the "WavOut 1/2" channel have to be panned hard to their respective sides. This would be my best guess.

He's using the omni which does have a stereo headphone output. But I didn't think of the delta control panel. However I did use an audiophile for awhile and didn't have to pan in the control panel.
