Why are they discontinuing the DMP3

Well I have been calling all of my local guitar center's (CHICAGO) and they are all out of stock with 3 of the 5 telling me its looking like the are discontinuing them. Had M-Audio giving details about there next pre. Any info would help thanks
 
Some folks say FullCompass will do a DMP3 for $140 shipped.
 
I just purchased a DMP3 through my local guitar shop (NOT Guitar Center) and twhile they didn't have it in stock, they offered to order it for me and charged me the same as the discounters WITHOUT shipping costs.

The point is that they indicated no trouble and no impending dicontinuation.

BTW, I have finally gotten a chance to play with it this weekend and I aam VERY impressed. I had been using ART tube pres and these a large cut above.

Ive got a chance to use one...My 8 channel Yamaha fared a bit better so I had no interest but for a 2 channel for the price its a great deal. It was in the MF lust book this month so Id say maybe they are changeing the design a bit...but not discontinueing.
 
I got my DMP3 Today! Its fuckin beautiful! compared to a presonus bluetube atleast:D I got mine from musiciansfriend with yet again no mention of a discontinue. Anyway...Goodluck.

Really? I find myself not very attracted to Yamaha Whatsoever. I see them as making motorcycles not guitars and mixers, ya know? :) Is their equipment that good?

I love my Yamaha Stage Custom drums.

And my Yamaha RGZ 621 guitars. Both of them.

and my Yamaha Keyboard. (Good for the price)


Yamaha makes great quality gear for the price.
