Rivers Cuomo, mastermind of Weezer. This guy knows how to write hits. And his exploration on Pinkerton was so far ahead of its time.

Also, Lenny Kravitz. He does some really cool production things on his albums.

I strongly second Mike Patton. The guy is a genious. Incredibly versatile.

Good question --- Actually I'd love to hear "don't eat the yellow snow" sampled, with a blues lick or three in there.
 
Somebody who's name we don't know that has come up with some innovative shit that revolutionizes music as we know it for the next decade or two. All this other shit has been done before... where's the fun in that?

I probably will get shot for this but Prince, Micheal Jackson, Quincy Jones, R. Kelly even if he did pee on some girl :D
