We've been checking out Home Recording for a few weeks now, and given the number of reported threads, we really think it’s time to
organize a little moderation team here.
It’s obvious that the best moderators we could choose would be selected among the well established and respected members of the website,
so why wouldn't you be interested?
Just to be crystal clear about moderation, here is what we think a moderator should do:
Moderators are not policemen, we’re not talking about establishing a Military Regime here.
Their primary "duty" is to maintain clean and easily understood threads in technical forums (The Cave is not concerned by moderation
so far). The biggest part of the job is getting rid of spammers.
Most of all, Moderators are active members. That’s the most important part.
Helping newbies and presiding over technical threads are the key things here. Some people here already help the community a lot, we're not
asking for more than that. We'll just give you the tools you'll need to do the job right.
Finally, as we don’t really have the opportunity to spend as much time as we would like with you here on the forum, moderators will be the
link between the community and the Audiofanzine team. Gathering questions and issues in order for the community to be as happy as it
should be.
I suggest that moderators should have a specialty, such as “microphones”, “guitars” or any other forum.
Making a moderator team will permit us to bring back some features such as signatures, since moderators will be able to
watch over any abuse.
So why not be a moderator?
If you’re interested, just send me an email!
And for any questions, let’s discuss it here!
