I can't mix worth a damn when i smoke out. I will smoke out only if i am just fucking around and have writers block..but I have really cut back on the weed, and it seems to have helped my overall drive.

I watched him smoke more pot than I've probabbly done in my life while he was tracking and mixing the band. I have the final product and its not too damn bad!!! I say do what works.

Not a lot worse, and I don't think it was ever quantified, but there will be exceptions to every rule.
a pc tech I know smokes every day and starts drinking about 2 or 3 pm. Never gets drunk. Can pass a field sobriety test (and has). If his behavior is any worse for it I can't tell, then again I don't suppose I have ever seen him strait. His is over 50.
Sounds like he's on that ole african river, da Nile. What do you suppose he needed a field sobriety test for? This idiot drives too! It's pretty scary with dudes like this on the roads, more so with the ones that think alcohol doesn't effect them.Rstiltskin said:a pc tech I know smokes every day and starts drinking about 2 or 3 pm. After a bit of experience we beging to distinguish 'better' from just different.BRIEFCASEMANX said:I think I agree with you guys. Some in the past have claimed that it made them better or hear things better. It doesn't seem right though.

Most of the time I was still awake and waiting for the store to open to go get another bottle. I could walk a straight line, talk coherently, even drive with no problems. My system just got so used to the Jack that it got to the point where it just didn't affect me anymore. I drank 18 beers in just a few hours last year just to see what would happen. My friend said I never changed a bit. I must have gotten to the point where I'm immune to it. Now I haven't drank like that for a few years now. Of course, my liver still remembers...
My point was that if a guy with 35 years engineering experience got high and handed me a 'damn good' recording I'd hand it back to him, say, "Stay straight and let's try again... on YOUR time!" He should not have gotten a 'damn good' recording from an engineer with 35 years experience. He should have gotten a GREAT recording.

Let me know what freeway you're on so I can make sure to take the side roads.RhythmRmixd said:Just save the *stuff* as a reward when you've finished the project and are bumping it in your ride cruisin' down the freeway.
