Who are your favourite composers?

TAE, I'm of the same mind. I can't really think of a single "favorite" songwriter/composer. Obviously the people who wrote and recorded great music are on the lists. But there are quite a few who are have written so many songs that people don't really associate with the writer. People like Geffen/King, Jimmy Webb, Bacharach/David, Randy Newman, Leiber/Stoller have written tons of songs for other people. The Brill crew, the Motown writers all provided great music. Some became stars, others weren't performers, but they were certainly great writers.

Someone that hasn't been mentioned is John WIlliams. He's literally written the soundtrack to the modern world, like Star Wars, Jaws, Harry Potter, Superman, Close Encounters, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Schindlers List.

John Williams deffo as a movie composer. In that genre can I add Hans Zimmer.... he pioneered motion picture music using modern technology.

Love all styles dude, I can listen to Burt songs or jazz or classical or intense thrash depending on my mood. No genres... only two types, good music and not so good music.
Send this.... Deen messed up and got sacked. He recovered... its not the mistakes you make in life, its how you deal with them, I made so many.

I refer to my post below. Journey is not a band anymore its a big business. Arnel visited Deen in rehab and asked them to give him a chance but they refused. Horrible bible bashing Jon 'sincerity' Cain, dickhead.
Pah! Deen was the best ever singer in Journey and he is better off without them IMVHO...

That's a trip... Ya know Journey has always been a great band... Apparently Deen is back on tour with them based on this article.

So many great bands. Journey is one I have never really followed that closely since the days of Perry. I was oblivious to all the member changes that came about after him. Based on the two videos you posted Deen is both a great singer and drummer...love it...did not know this.
