Gregorius, wut up dude.

Not my favorite of yours, but it grew on me. The ripping guitars cracked me up (in a good way). Timing/beat changes were the best part.

The mix seems - to me - just a little bright - or is it a little light on mids. That could be the Hphones I'm using though.

Thanks Ray. I'm not hearing too much brightness, but I've mixed this thing about a dozen times the past few weeks trying different things, so you might be right. I need to get away from it for a little while.

Certainly an about-face from your last one (which I liked) and more in the direction of stuff on your cd. Well done.

Thanks a lot heat. That is actual marching....all done by me in my living room. 50-ish tracks of Vans stomping on laminate flooring. :D
 
That crazy guitar swirl sound that kicks in after the second chorus is pretty sweet. Is that a phaser? Tight guitar man - sounds good.
 
Another in-my-face Greg-fest. LOVE the guitars, and the arrangement. Dums obviously sound great, but maybe the drums (or the mix) have too much compression? The only reason I say that is because the snare sounds awesome on that first flam of the song. But, in the mix it seems to lose a little of it's fatness and gets slightly type-writer-ish, if you know what I mean. The rest of the mix and everything else sounds great. I could use more kik, but hey, I'm a drummer.

Thanks Rami. The snare was a motherbitch on this one. I should have retracked it a long time ago. I got a lot of bleed in the snare track and playing double-time this fast didn't allow me to really whack the snare the way I normally like to do. I might be over-compressing it. I'll see if I can fix it better. I gotta get away from this thing for a bit.

It's probably more that than anything having to do with compression. That makes sense, because this is FAST and I can see not being able to whack that snare on the back-beat the way you would be able to in a slower song. That also explains why the snare sounds fatter in the intro flam. You were obviously able to hit it harder and differently there. I wouldn't re-track it, though. It's notwhere near needing a re-track. Just a little thing I noticed. It's still right up there in quality sound-wise, meaning somewhere between "really good" and "awesome".
