While I was sort of in funk mode...

I like when Choctaw drops in with his wisdom...Doesn't happen often enough, but at least it happens. :)

Hey Rami,
Nice tune, I personally love the interaction between the two guitars and how they are two separate entities yet blend so well, I love the two guitars when they meld and mimic each other at the end of each verse I think it was.
Nice clean attack on those guitar tracks!

I love it!
Great work....

Kev :)

RAMI I go straight in to my TASCAM 2488 and only compress and eq after tracking.[/QUOTE said:
I bet you have it smooth most of the time with the 2488. Using a computer is full of unknowns, never know when things are going to work, and when they are going south. That's my take. I use the computer and have to deal with all the uncertainty. Might consider changing but not yet. I am like the dog sitting on a nail........not moving because it's not hurting enough YET.

Hehe...thanx for the bump True...You must have pulled this one out of page 3. :)

Choctaw, I love working with a stand alone unit with real faders and nobs. I guess it's just a matter of knowing your set up. I'm used to working with thing...I probably couldn't do a thing in anyone else's studio.

Rami, you're the type of dude that could do amazing things with a boom box, and a free mic....... ;)

You are welkom Rami....I like to bump.

Actually I had to type in 'RAMI' on the search function. I am persistant, when on a search for good things. :)

I typed "Rami" in once at soundclick and got some rap dude  I see why he's Rami(mtl)

Yeah, that's exactly why i had to be RAMI (mtl)...The dude's doing Arabic Rap.

Rappers call what they do "spittin'"...In this case, it's really the case.

RAMI..you don't need any other setup or studio, yours is working for you in a very postive way.

Question: When you finish a song how do you get from the Tascam to the internet and post it. Does it connect by USB...then save it and upload. Or is some software on the computer used?

I transfer the Stereo Wav to the computer by USB...Then I put it in Wavelab and Master it.

RAMI what are you using for vocals? I love the sound of them!

Hey The Engineer...I use a pretty simple set up. An AKG C3000B into my TASCAM 2488, slight compression during tracking, no EQ. At mixdown, I compress more as needed and EQ as needed also.

Actually, correction...I go through a pre-amp...didn't want it to sound simpler than it is, but it's still a pretty simple set up.

Mutha'effin Rami........This joint is NIIIIIIIIIICE!!!!!!!!!! I hear influences from Ohio Players, Wild Cherry & Edgar Winter.
The combination of funk, pop & rock (I am sooo feelin' the bridge) is hottttt!
D@mn dood, I really like this!!! ***BURNED TO C/D***!
Git-work, drums, lyrical flow...........d@mnnnn, I'm jealous!!!

5-STARS in my BOOK!!!!!

Thanx dude...I love all those bands you named (Well Wild Cherry only had one song that I know, but it was a good one)...Glad you like it, it was a fun tune to do with stupid yet funny (I hope) lyrics to boot. :)
