Ok just did a search, took 24.28 seconds to yield 500 results. After about 3 minutes and 5 pages I found half a dozen or more threads pertaining to this exact subject. So anyone who can't work the search function needs to pull their head out of their ass.

English APL!!! My brain hurts trying to read that, but I understand what you're saying and you're right. It's just frustrating to have to spoon feed people, to me it's like going to the library and asking the librarian to tell you the moby dick story instead of actually reading it.

Good news for you: you DON'T have to! No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to answer these questions. Since all of your complaining isn't doing anything to diminish these kinds of questions, ignoring them would help them go down the list and off the front page faster. Personally, they don't bother me. It's extremely easy not to click on threads I don't care to read. I don't know why it's so difficult for you. Must be you're a massive fucktard. Agreed. And (If I may add) being you don't know, or see, the person with whom you're communicating, it's a pretty (embarrassing and) unlikely way for a grown man/woman to behave. Don't know why it's allowed to go on in a public forum, myself.

Second thread from the top has a FAQ section in which is a section that has several mics in the 100-500 dollar catagory and even fellow member's thoughts on the mics, including Gidge. Would seem pretty simple just to click on that and have a read. Sometimes I get the feeling some people start these threads just to have some kind of post count gratification. If you want a lot of people to respond to your thread then go to the cave and start one there.

I dont' need any of your respect, thanks anyway. All I did was told someone to do a search. It wasn't hateful or mean, just simply try to point out that many many many many many threads have been started about this and there are many more containing information helpful to this subject. Someone thought it was rude and decided they'd be rude as well, and that's how this got started.

True, it might be fun if folks with questions did some footwork instead of rippling the pool needlessly. This makes sense anywhere! A newbie with real interest will get some gratification in getting his/her own answers.

Do your homework, kiddies!! Then ask about what you found! If people know you took the first step(s), you'll find they're usually glad to help you out. Then you've proven it's worth their while, and that a result will likely come of their contribution.

Besides, some of these critters bite...

I was speaking to whom it was relevant- I didn't quote anyone at that point relevant to what I was saying. There was some uselessly rude yak that went down, and it was a waste of everyone's time including the author of it.

Easiest answer in the whole world: Shure Beta 58. Quit fooling around with these stupid MXL cheapo condensers and get a solid proven mic. That's the best mic if you're only spending $150. In fact, it's a great mic, period, regardless of the price.
 
... what's next, "Best Mic Around $175 but not over $180"? I know what it's like to live on a budget, but jeez... wait a month or two and save up. Get something decent for crying out loud. You know, that costs $190 or so.
