Cubase SX 2.0 or Sonar Producer Edition for recording

&

Reason 2.5 or Acid 5.0 or Fl Studio 5

one thing you'll learn is that each has their flaws but its usually not enough to get people to switch programs. personally i use sonar for tracking and make beats in fl studio. i've never used cubase but i have used nuendo which is the 1k version of cubase and i think its ok....i can lay down tracks quicker in sonar but when it comes to loading omf files, nuendo loads them a hell of alot faster than sonar in my opinion. what kind of music are you doing? i dont think you'd go wrong using cubase or sonar...and just to add to the fire, theres also vegas, n-track and adobe audition

I used sonar before but I didnt like the layout so I got cubase / nuendo. Cubase just makes sense to me.

and i find sonar to be really easy...but then again i have a bias because i started out using cakewalk guitar tracks 2

Whichever one a person has. Which for me would be none of the above in the DAWs, and FLStudio 5.
