Which preamp to go with Neumann TLM 103?

I was lucky enough to get this Neumann for a very decent deal. The only preamp I have at home is Presonus Studio Channel and a Presonus BlueTube. I heard you have to use a higher end preamp to make it shine. Is this true? Probably true with all mics.
 
Depending upon your intended application, you could probably get by with Focusrites at a minimum. You can go nuts on preamps if you're not careful, and spend more than you did on the microphone!
 
U mean the Focusrite ISA One? My only application with this is vocal karaoke.
 
The Focusrite ISA One would be a real good choice.

I own 2 ISA Ones and for the price, I think they are incredible.
Now that the PreSonus Eureka is discontinued, you might be able to pick one of those up for a very reasonable price and it is a definite step up from your Studio Channel, IMO.
 
what do u guys think of an Avalon 737 or a U.A. LA 610? Think of going all out on quality rack so I don't keep upgrading and wonder if something sounds better....
 
Both are outstanding but expensive.
Both are tube based as I am sure you know
The Avalon new is over $2000.
Even at Used, they are generally over $1000.
Quite a lot $$$ for "Just Karaoke"???
