It's a Coles (formerly STC) 4033 fig-8 ribbon. Viewed from a strange angle.

Thanks - I thought it was a Coles.
It looks to be a 4038 - in use at Abbey Road Studios quite a bit, it seems.

Actually I’m wrong you’re right. I sold a 4033 on ebay and mistyped. The 4033 was frankly a weird mic. Even heavier than the 4038 and the dynamic element sounded different to the ribbon. The 4038 - ah it’s autocorrecting! Is a much more practical mic. Sorry for confusion.
