I need to record vocals for my college class (an animation not music), and I was wondering what would be the best to use (I have both on me so I don't have to worry about going out and buying). Basically I want to sound a bit professional when it comes to the quality.

Anyway the two mics I have are USB (don't feel like using a converter this time).

1) Rock Band 1 mic - Apparently these mics are good for recording... The only problem is that I don't have a mic stand so I'll be holding this one in might hand.
vs
2) Snowball ICE Blue - This one comes with a stand so I'm covered there... The only problem now is that I don't have a pop filter... I probably could find a cheap alternative, or I can just record raw without a filter.

I would like to hear some feedback from those who have experience/knowledge with both.

I'd consider selling them both and picking up an audio interface and a mic.

Neither of those are going to give you professional quality. The rock band mic is from a game and isn't anything special, the snowball is just a very basic USB mic. I would read some of the newbie threads here about interfaces and mics
