Which is better the "ROLAND SP-606' or the "AKAI MPC-1000"

Their both small and seem as though they do the same thing. :cool:
 
most people lean towards the mpc.

but it depends what your needs are.

are u getting it more for sampling?

are u getting it more for a sequencer?

or as a way to have hardware and start familiarizing yourself with software?
etc.


i just bought a 606 and am looking foward to some responses.

i hope someone takes the time out to make a how to video with this in our genre the way theres a lot of videos for the mpc.


it would be nice for free but id pay for that.
 
I'm a huge fan of roland... The thing with the MPC is that a lot of that technology has been around for over a decade and has only had minor upgrades. It's still a great piece of equipment, but the engine is very outdated.
