M musac New member Mar 4, 2005 #2 most people lean towards the mpc. but it depends what your needs are. are u getting it more for sampling? are u getting it more for a sequencer? or as a way to have hardware and start familiarizing yourself with software? etc. i just bought a 606 and am looking foward to some responses. i hope someone takes the time out to make a how to video with this in our genre the way theres a lot of videos for the mpc. it would be nice for free but id pay for that.

E Echelon Lights Fish on Fire. Mar 6, 2005 #3 I'm a huge fan of roland... The thing with the MPC is that a lot of that technology has been around for over a decade and has only had minor upgrades. It's still a great piece of equipment, but the engine is very outdated.
