which headphones are better?

I like the Sonys, and have bought several pairs of them. After listening to them compared to everything else in the stores, I supprisingly liked them best [trying to disregard everyone elses high praise for them]. They seem to have a tad amount of bass to them, but not overly so that it grosses things out, imo. They do well with mic bleed, are very comfortable, but I wire tie the cable coming out of them, as for sure that would be a problem down the line without some sort of strain relief on them. I still can't get used to mini plugs with the 1/4" adapter, but it "clicks" in pretty good....and the cable seems a little on the cheap side too. A little on the expensive side too at a 100 pezutas.....oh well!!

Pezzutos is the correct spelling.

But, Lucid, don't neglect to audtion the Beyer 250 cans. They are very nice, a bit tight on the head but you can shrink your head with Gin.

They run about 133 pezzutos the last time I bought them....I have four/five sets of cans in my studio; two of them are, Beyer.

Do not confust the name with aspirin, Bayer. Both work on the head but in different ways.

ok, are the beyers sealed?

ok, so far sony has 1, sennheiser has 0... anay more?
 
Cast another vote for the Sony's... I have several pairs in my studio.

ok, so no one so far likes the sennhesiers and i cannot afford the beyers...

I've got a set of Sennheiser HD-490's ($45 ?), which I thought were gonna be pretty linear (there not closed), but I think they are a bit bass shy IMO, and also, they don't get verry loud before overdriving. My Sony CD-270 ($55?)(closed) get verry loud and are closed (quite well) but are bass heavy, and not a thad too!

For me, the Sony's a winner, just EQ the bass down a bit on the phone's.
