Which guitar to buy

Hi, i am going to be buying a new guitar soon, on a budget of around £500, can anyone reccomend one which is good value and worth it, maybe i could stretch to £600 if needs be. Thanks

Give us as much info as you can - and we will share our opinions.

At the end of the day - the best advice is always gonna be - go to the guitar store and try em all out and buy the one that feels the best and sounds the best to your ears.

Seriously, that is way too broad of a question. Maybe try to tell us a certain type or brand of guitar that you aspire to own and someone could point you to something in that direction within your price range.

Electric or acoustic?

Step one, buy used. Step two, spend as much as you can afford on a brand you couldn't afford to buy new.

Then you should be good.

OK sorry i suppose it is too broad, but then again im an idiot so....
At the moment i have a Yamaha RGX which cost 280, but i have had this for over 3 years now and want to upgrade, we also have a Takamine EN10. I am not too bothered about colour, more bothered about sounds, how it feels etc... obviously i will have to judge any guitars you reccomend on how they feel etc i just want to know which ones are the best value for 500-600 pounds. Thanks

Oopps forgot to add im after en electric as the Takamine is a very nice guitar and does not need to be upgraded.

Really, the only answer is to go to the shop and try every guitar in your price range. Then buy the one you like best. Sound, feel, looks - its all too personal for recommendations to be very meaningful at this stage. If you had it narrowed down to 2 or 3 choices you liked about equally well, recommendations might be more helpful.
