Okay, I fell in love with Ernie Ball strings, when I put a set of Hybrid Slinkys on a Synsonics portable electric (the one with the 9V battery powered built-in 2" speaker in the body), and they really made that axe come alive when played through (of all things) a 10W Realistic combo that I also had at the time. On Friday, I added an Ibanez Jet King 2 to my growing collections (up to 8, now...6 electric guitars & 2 basses), and am wondering which set of Ernie Balls might bring out the best in the Jet King, especially when I make use of the coil taps (most likely will be neck "single coil" & bridge humbucker)?

Stick with the hybird slinkys or maybe go for regular slinkys. Super slinkys tend to rattle if your action is real low.

Just normal 10s ... regulars. Hybrids just wind me up, heavy one side and not the other. I can't get used to the bending tensions being so different. Don't ever use anything less than 10s for a hard-tail (no trem system) guitar ... 9s are for girls and certain strat players.
