which bass to get out of these 2?

hey, i've been playing bass in a punk band for almost 3 years now and i'm looking to upgrade. i'm trying to decide which bass I should get. I've gotten it down to a MusicMan S.U.B. X02 or a Fender Standard Precision Bass. Will someone please give me their opinion...what are the pros and cons of each? what are they capable of? thanks for your help

get a cherry one. its sorta red, sorta orange.

ive found that those darn humbuckers are a lot of nobs that twist and turn and make sounds and dang it i cant figure them out. but go with the p-bass. cause i like those.


dont put stickers on it. but you can put stickers on your case

I'd go with the SUB. The Music Man is just as much a standard as the PBass anymore. The only downside is the SUB is one heavy MF.

Get a good Jazz Bass. Or the Deluxe P-Bass Special, because it has a Jazz neck. Can't you tell which way I'm biased...

if your going to get a musicman, get a stingray. those others just arent the same.

but with the p-bass. you can hold that beast up high and say 'this is my p-bass, hear it roar'.

the j-bass might not be a bad idea. depends on if you like the feel, i cant stand them myself.

the p-bass is just classic. mmm.....classic.

what freak said, if you're going for a music man bass, definitly go musicman stingray...may be expensive, but damn..i spent hours striaght at guitar center yesterday just playing that thing forever...and my god, i am in LOVE....i've got a '75 jazz reissue and a schecter model-t, and i think i love the stingray soo much already, i wanna add it to my arsenal..
