Hey all I really want to buy a bass guitar but I am torn between these 2 "five string basses," and I have to choose 1. The Ibanez SRX- 505 or the Ergodyne EDB-605.
I want the bass that is great for all kinds of music ranging from Ballads, power ballads, Rock, Pop, hip hop, punk and dance.
Can either of these basses be played in any style of music and sound very good?
I know these basses are great for metal, but I need it for a large genre as mentioned above.
I heard alot of mixed feelings about the Ergodyne design that its not as warm sounding as the wood on the SRX-505.
If you can get the SRX-505 and the Ergodyne for around the same price which one would you get?
I will using this bass to record direct to my VS-2400CD recorder using Event ASP-8 moniters, which one will be my best bet and why?
