Hi Gang

Can anyone recomend a pair of Active Monitors for a small room, that is 8 foot X 8 foot ( 2.5 X 2.5 Mts)

Thanks

Trev.

What's up Bonkwell

I highly recommend the Mackie HR-624 Active Monitors for the job. You should consider choosing a monitoring system that has a 6" LF woofer (6.7" or 6.5" LF woofer).

I also suggest that you take care of any acoustic problems in your studio with some Auralex products, your monitors will perform and sound 100% better, and you'll mix 100% better.

IMHO Monitors with an 8" LF woofer would (((((SOUND)))))) great in larger studio rooms than an 8' x 8' room.

If you're on a tight budget, then consider looking into other monitoring systems that has a 6" or 5" LF woofer.

 Tip Of The Day

Order two or three pairs of monitors to hear how they all sound in your room, then send back the two you don't like. Hey, it's better than hearing them in a store, that's not your room. :D

Peace.

I agree the mackies would be rad, but auralex products wont do much in such a small room. You can spend your money on much more effective materials.

But a smaller monitor would be conducive to your environment

What's your budget?

Thanks Lads

I've not worked out a budget... I've still got a lot of work to do on the room, so I'm open to any recommendations.
