Where to get mixing advice?

Hey all, noobish question here. I'm rather new to recording, mixing in particular. I have some rough mixes that I have "given the old college try" with the limited knowledge that I do have, but with my low level of experience I'm not quite sure if I've mixed to the full potential of my recording gear or if there is more that I can do.

I know there is the "mix this" section on this forum, but I'm more interested in obtaining advice to help me improve my mixes and my abilities instead of someone else simply mixing my stuff themselves. Is there a place or forum here that I may have missed where I can post my rough mix and can get advice on what elements of the mix I should work on and what I could do to improve it?

Would that just go into the mixing techniques forum? Or is that not done here at all?

Thanks!

And that was exactly the answer I was looking for! Thank you very much! :thumbs up: I must have looked right past it :spank:

I think I made a mistake. The previous link will not evaluate your mixes. I got mentally lazy. The MP3 clinic (here) will help you, so post there. If you want to mix others tracks use the link I posted; it is a good forum with nice folks and great tunes to play with.

BUT... if no-one knows you, then it can be a bit hit and miss on getting feedback in the Clinic... so jump in and play with the fellas there for a while before you post your own tracks, is my advice.
