Where to buy a mic online

Hello everybody, I'm new to try to start recording, i been using a normal 10 computer microphone, i wanna get these mics that have been listed in this forum, i dont have any really good music stores in my area, is there any sites online that sell mics or other equipment.. idont have a credit card, so hopefully they do online checks, or will let me mail them a check.. thanks for any help!

it depends on what kind of mic you want to get. I would suggest reading severel threads in the mic forum and decide what you want . then make a post asking where the best deal on that mic would be. by the way, when you decide what you want...most of the time you can go to the web page of that manufaturer and they will have links to online music stores that sell the mic (or have a 1-800 number and you can call them.)
There are alot of people here that look for good deals and can tell you the best place to buy....but 1st you have to decide what you want.

Michael's list is good. Also, in a manic fit last night I posted a bunch of on-line mic bargains down in the Hot Deals forum.

You can always do a "search" (top of page) on any mic name you see, and you'll get many varied and interesting opinions.
