Who can tell me why I can't find any TRAVELING WILBURY'S on any of the sites such as CD UNIVERSE -CDNOW.COM?

Am I in the TWILIGHT ZONE?
Titan sayin what gives?

Out of print bud!...

Been there tried that!.... Start checking out the used stores.... I found one....

Well, I'll be a sunnava...

Woah Nellie! Were sales that bad?? What are the record company's thinking? With 2 of the members deceased, you would think demand would be high?
I'm blown away. Yeah, ok. Time to hit the used stores. Thanks.

It was a novelty album, and it wore off... There were about 4 great songs, and the others were filler... Well, in my opinion...

But sounded great..

I looked for it last night, but couldn't find it... I was all ready to burn a copy for you too.... (it's not illegal, if it's out of print and you can't buy it, in my eyes) :D

But, keep your eyes opened at the used stores.... I will check around here in Canada for you... Keep in touch...

Often you can find it on cassette. I have it on cd, but got it back in the day. I would suggest used stores and of course, hitting up friends that could have had it from original print. Or check KaZaa or whatever the P2P of the week is. (Not trying to be flamebait) It is out of print.

Titanship,

I believe that the problem was with Roy Orbison's estate. Something with copyright and not wanting or not allowing it to be reproduced.

I own the Vol 1 Cassette. My Mum went to a dodgy CD store and mentioned that i wanted Vol 3 (there was no Vol 2). The guy at the CD store sold my mum a burnt CD with Vol 1 & Vol 3 for $30 AUD. It was very dodgy, however I couldn't find it anywhere in Australia.

I must admit that I only really like the songs off their first album.

When you look back it was probably the most talented and experienced band ever!!

Porter

Honestly Porter, I've heard very little of the 2nd record myself. I had the first cd, and lost it in a crappy marriage.

At least 4 of the 5 band members HAVE to be some of the most intriguing musicians/artists in MY mind. And you have to give credit to Jeff Lynn for pulling it all together. Though he was never a super-star on his own, I think his production talents are unsurpassed. First of all, who would have picked these 5 artists and make them "gel" so well?

What I also like is the fact that "the meat" of the work is done with analog equipment- much of it old stuff.

So, hat's off to the Wilbury's.

agreed about the bury's. Most of their discs can be found with regularity on Ebay but, as has been said, are sadly out of print.

I just wanted to chime in with myunabashed support for Jeff Lynne. In fact, with artist/production career like his, there's no slack to be picked up. A great musical role model IMHO.
