Where do you stand on Motorized Faders?

They might be flash, to impress, but do you really naad them?
Are they necessary?
Are they just something else to fail, and are you better off with regular faders?

I have motorized faders on my Cybertwin amp - they been working fine for over 20 years.

Not for sure if you saw this, from the FAQ from the site "The Model 12 is the only unit that has the DAW Control function. This is because the unit is built around a DIGITAL mixer. The earlier Model 24 and Model 16 are built around ANALOG mixers so they cannot have this function."

In case it mattered.

The SSL Matrix 2 is an analogue mixer, with DAW control. Rather expensive though.
It flips between mixer control and DAW control at the touch of a button.
There is no reason why you can't have an analogue mixer, plus a DAW controller side by side. Even an X-Touch.
