Where can I master my mixes?.

Hey there, well, I've been dooing some recording and mixing lately and the idea of mastering has been horsing around my head. I googled and found several mastering studios with different rates but I see that some of them (the expensive ones) don't even show the gear they use.

The prices I've found are around 50 to 150$ per song and went to these places:

Blackdog Mastering
Zen Mastering
Peerless Mastering
Presition Mastering
XARC Mastering
Massive Mastering

Is there a place all you guys send your projects to that I should know about?...

I'm new on this about mastering, so I'd really appreciate your help and suggestions... the way to go, and the way I shouln't take... thanks beforehand...

PD: by the way, I do from alternative to metal, jazz and blues... I don't know if that's important, but just in case...

I've never done anything worth sending out to have mastered, so no real experience here. But, Massive Master is on this board quite often, as are a few others who might do you right. Check them out.

I tend to recommend a couple different guys.

Trevor Sadler at Mastermind in Milwaukee is one of them. Very good work, and he offers an "Indie rate," which is a bonus. http://www.mastermindproductions.net/rate.htm

I kinda saw mastermind also, and I didn't even took a look at it... it seems to offer about the same everyone else offers... at least he shows the tools...
